The Lobby System, Locally!

I read the ‘online’ article of the Times-News report of the Twin Falls City Council meeting considering the desperately needed City face covering mandate. It was no surprise to read that an individual, Shane Klass, had ‘organized’ a group of ‘no mask’ idiots, that for some reason has no desire to contain the Virus. This reflects the ‘degeneration’ that has occurred in Congress, where the ‘lobby system’, by passing out loads of cash, influences congress, and in doing so, often denies the majority the laws they desire. The ‘outcome’ of the City Council meeting makes me wonder if a ‘petition’ requiring face coverings, with about 10,000 signatures, would have any influence on the County Commissioners. I noted that the ‘Klass Gang’, apparently in a majority at that meeting, would be considerably less than 200, as the meeting room is limited to 216, and there were a considerable number of ‘proponents’ for face coverings. It reminded me of the ‘steam roller’ campaign to transfer the County Hospital to St. Luke’s, and I noted some of those same people are now on the City Council. Have a nice day!
