No End to Greed!
In medicine, two common examples, Mebendazole, the old standard for human parasites (worms) and Tetracycline, a ‘must’ for Rosacea Acne. I took Tetracycline for Rosacea for over 40 years. 50, 500 milligram pills cost about $12.00, or 100, 250 milligram pills at about $14.00. That was the price, year after year. I got a prescription on January 18, checked 4 local pharmacies, the low was $1,209.00 for 100 pills (500 milligram). The other example, Mebendazole, the worm medicine, was, for one 6 pill prescription $18.00. The second prescription, for 6 pills was $23.00, this about the year 2010. In 2017 we had need for Mebendazole, got the prescription, called several local pharmacies, the price across the board was about $400.00 per pill. (Walmart was the highest at $412.00 per pill) That’s a 100 times increase in a common cheap drug. The funny part on Mebendazole is you can get the same result still today with about 20 dollars’ worth of Ivermectin, maybe even better. Is there no end?
Have a nice Day!
