Lack of training?

Watching Steve Bannon on the War Room, Saturday June 17th, 2023, Bannon is giving a good ‘monologue’ on the precarious military position America is in when he ‘veer’s off into a comparison of the Ukraine Defense and the World War Two beachhead at Normandy. Then he lumps them together with a lack of ‘real progress’ by Ukraine and the ‘bog down’ of the Normandy advance ‘all due to the lack of training’. Training had nothing to do with the slow progress off the beach at Normandy, it was hedgerows, the American planners did not realize how big the hedgerows were, or that they were basically rock, with hardwood brush growing up through the rocks. The hedgerows stopped the tanks and other armor dead in their tracks, and they were like a checkerboard and continued for miles. It wasn't lack of training, except maybe in the ‘planning’ department, it was the hedgerows that stopped the US advance in Normandy.
