When the Virus Goes Away!

That will be when the President can make it disappear by not counting the infected cases, when the Idaho Department of Health can reduce the number of dead people by claiming that some of the people who died in Idaho were not residents of Idaho, so they don’t count, like the people from Colorado or Oregon who are killed in an auto accident on I-84, they don’t count as an Idaho traffic death. The Virus will vanish when Bill Colley on KLIX-1310 radio can convince people that huddles of people clustered together in a bar cannot spread the Virus, and that face masks are not necessary! The Virus will go away, at the command of the President, with the support of his ‘lackeys’, without any comprehensive, credible guidelines on public ‘social distancing’, or enforceable rules! Actually, in spite of the desires of the ‘nut-cakes’ just mentioned, the Virus is never going away. No more than mosquitoes or tumbleweeds or cheat grass is ever going away. But we will learn to live with it in time, when unnecessary travel is banned, when the occupancy of public buildings is determined by a standard formula of so many people per square foot of floor space, and shopping days are allocated to minimize crowds. The Virus will diminish when face masks are mandatory and ‘quarantine’ means just that, even if it requires an ankle bracelet, and a violation takes you to a detention center, along with the rest of the ‘slow learners’. Business and industry can be conducted, probably minus bars and large sporting events, using the same guidelines as the general public. The Virus will become more ‘livable’ with advanced therapy and sufficient medical equipment, and eventually will not even be too ‘scary’ with an effective vaccine! But listen up, Brad, and the rest of you little morons, the Virus is never going away!
